The Philippines observes International Coastal Cleanup Day every year, on the third Saturday of September, urging public and private sectors to join efforts in cleaning the country’s shorelines. Pilmico, an Aboitiz Foods company, took part by removing waste from the Lucong River in Concepcion, Tarlac, and the Balanga Wetland and Nature Park in Bataan.
On September 21, Pilmico’s Farms team collected five sacks of waste from the Lucong River, while the Feeds team collected seven sacks and ten plastic bottles in Balanga on September 27.

The event was organized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). These cleanups highlight Pilmico’s commitment to environmental stewardship, aligning with Aboitiz Foods’ mission to Sustainably Feed Asia’s Growth from Mill to Meal by supporting eco-friendly practices and preserving vital ecosystems.
