Empowering Leaders to Pursue Shared Wins: The Aboitiz Foods Leadership Conference 2025

Apr 7, 2025

Aboitiz Foods, the food and agribusiness arm of the Aboitiz Group,  held its second leadership conference, attended by over 80 key leaders from eight countries across Asia Pacific, on March 18-19, 2025. With the theme “Shared Goals. Shared Values. Shared Wins,” the organization acknowledged its achievements from the past year while preparing for the year ahead, guided by its value of the year, “Pursue Shared Wins.”

At the event, Tristan Aboitiz, Aboitiz Foods President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) highlighted the transformative initiatives that contributed to the company’s 2024 performance.  These include the corporate rebranding that unified the strengths of Pilmico and Gold Coin under the banner of Aboitiz Foods, revealed in August last year, and an organization-wide workshop grounded on the Aboitiz Values. The values workshops were conducted across eight countries to foster a high-performance culture aligned with the core values of Integrity, Teamwork, Innovation, and Responsibility.

Tristan Aboitiz, President and CEO of Aboitiz Foods, encourages leaders to build stronger connections across departments and countries and to lead by example to their team members.

These initiatives laid the foundations for Aboitiz Foods’ high-performance culture, directly resulting in its strong financial performance. In 2024, it posted a net income after tax (NIAT) of $60.2M, a 315% growth from last year’s $14.5M, driven by stabilizing commodity prices, optimized feed and flour formulations, and strategic pricing adjustments. Additionally, two of its new Gold Coin feed mills in Vietnam and China were completed, strategically expanding its reach and capacities in these regions.

“This kind of progress just does not happen overnight, it happened all because of our people. One of the biggest reasons we succeeded in 2024, I believe, was because we started to operate more as one team… What happened last year just did not come out of thin air; we put in a lot of hard work in 2022 and 2023,” Aboitiz said.

Building on last year’s momentum presents challenges and opportunities for Aboitiz Foods in 2025. As Aboitiz Foods looks ahead, resilience and adaptability will be crucial for continued success. The two-day conference served as a platform for leaders to embrace the value of “Pursuing Shared Wins,” shaping their strategies and collaborations for the year ahead.
